What to do

What to do if your basement has flooded? This is divided into two situations:

First: Basement is wet with only a few inches of water or less

1. Electrical shock can happen in this scenario. Let the professionals at Anew check this before entering.

2. If water is from a leak in plumbing, shut off the water.

3. If water is from sump failure and it's a water back up, be careful of microbes.

4. If water is from a septic leak or sewer backup, do not go into basement.

5. Call your insurance provider and let them know what has happened. They will call to have an adjuster assigned to your claim.

Second: Basement has water one or more feet deep

1. Do not go into basement. Electrical shock can happen in this scenario. Let the professionals at Anew check this before entering.
